Two of our closest friends, we have watched their relationship begin and grow into what it is today. When Dwayne asked me to be there and photograph the moment he proposed on his parents property in Central Otago, I was excited. I could not have been happier to be apart of it. They will marry in February 2017 on the same property at a beautiful Central Otago wedding.
After a big day exploring Wanaka, all Lisa wanted to do was sleep, all Dwayne wanted to do was show her the rabbit holes at the top of the hill, little did she know there was a little more then a rabbit hole waiting for her.
After a little persuasion Lisa climbed to the top of the hill, Dwayne got down on one knee and asked Lisa to marry him.
For 3 days in a row I stared out the car window as we passed what would best be described as the holy grail of open fields. My game plan consisted of convincing Lisa and Dwayne they should do an engagement shoot, Jumping the fence from the main road and hope I didn’t we electrocuted in the process.
I slowly dropped hints over the next few days and after a little convincing they both agreed and we set out for the field. Turns out Dwayne’s old man (who I think knows just about everyone in central Otago I should add) said he would make a phone call for us.
After the phone call consisting of about 10 words max…we had access to over 100 hectares of this amazingness. I think only photographers would really know how I was feeling at this point as I was grinning from ear to ear. Wanaka, New Zealand, once again you produce the goods!
